Assistant Chief Jones of the Memphis Police Department talks about how and why he came to Memphis, his work history with Chief Davis in Atlanta and his dedication to the communities in which he serves. With more than 35 years of experience, he went from a small town in Georgia to Atlanta and now Memphis. Throughout his career, Chief Jones has been passionate about community engagement and building positive relationships between the police force and the public. In Atlanta, he was instrumental in establishing the Citizens Police Academy, a program designed to foster trust and collaboration between law enforcement officers and the community they serve. As a true advocate for change and improvement in the dynamic world of policing, Chief Jones’ expertise has great insight and ideas about how to contribute to and update policing strategies in Memphis.
