Serving Diverse Communities

Memphis is a soulful city and the soul of the city is its diversity. As both the Latino and LGBT communities expand, so does MPD. The department is committed to implementing 21st century policing strategy which includes a designated liaison to the Latino and LGBT constituencies. Our host Candace Gray talks to Officers Perea and Dixon about their work with MPD, what that engagement and outreach looks like and their respective paths within the department.
